Who We Are
Oklahoma Veterans United is built on an 80+ year legacy of bringing our community together to research, plan, coordinate action, and assess progress to address some of Oklahoma’s most critical social service, health, education, and civic challenges. Over the past year, our organization has made strategic decisions to adapt to evolving needs and ensure our continued impact. With a fast and ever-changing landscape of nonprofits and funders, we strategically shifted our focus to solely concentrate on the Veteran community in the state of Oklahoma.
In 2024, we officially transitioned from Community Service Council to Oklahoma Veterans United (OKVU). Our organizational focal points are housing services, suicide prevention resources, and employment opportunities for Veterans through key initiatives such as Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), Staff Sergeant Parker Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG FOX SPGP), Veteran Employer Network, Right Face, and more.
As we look to the future, we are energized by the opportunities that lie ahead and are unwavering in our commitment to Veterans.
