Combating Veteran Suicide Through Connection
About The Program
To all Veterans – your service to our country may have brought you face-to-face with challenges and experiences that few can understand, and the weight of those experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming. SSG FOX SPGP is a resource and support system that you can lean on while finding a path toward renewed hope and well-being. You deserve support, understanding, and compassion.
The Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG FOX SPGP) is a key initiative of Oklahoma Veterans United combating Veteran suicide across Oklahoma. SSG FOX SPGP is a VA funded grant connecting at-risk Veterans to upstream suicide prevention tools. These tools include targeted outreach events, warm hand-offs to VA clinical and administrative staff, connection to local community resources, and individualized programs to help reduce the risk of Veteran suicide.

- Baseline mental health screening for risk
- Education on suicide risk and prevention
